Weekly Objectives
December 1-5
Math: Saxon 2 –Lessons 61-65
Venn Diagrams, Read a recipe, Tell time with A.M. And P.M., identify dozen and half dozen, add three numbers together, write fractions. Master all previous math facts.
Religion: Faith and Life Series-Chapter 10 A Savior is Born
The story leading up to the birth of Christ. The meaning of Advent and applying it to our lives.
Writing: Students will write three sentences in addition to other writing assignments
contained in other subjects. We will continue to talk about different kinds of
sentences and the necessary parts of any sentence.
Phonics Phonics Level B pages 68-72
Reviewing short and long vowels and rhyming words.
Spelling: Spelling 2, Chapter 13
Long vowel sound at the end of words. Soft c and g (lace, cage.) We will work in class and test on Friday.
Grammar: Grammar workbook pages 39 and 40, and review of concepts.
Vocabulary: We will begin a new lesson in vocabulary. The students will work in class this week and test next week.
Reading: Little Angel Reader D. SRA, Seton: These are our Neighbors
Students will read from each, out loud and individually at school, and read at
home.
Science: Discovering myself: Hands, Hair, Eyes, Ears. Students will cover those this week
and continue working next week before testing.
