Upcoming Activities
September 15, 2011
Dear Families and Faculty,
Since we have new students and families, it is necessary to go over a few details in the handbook before getting too far along.
1) We have an opportunity to have Mass on Friday, September 30th at 10:00. All are welcome.
2) Also, we will have PICTURE Day for individual students and class pictures on Wednesday, September 21st and Thursday, September 22nd.
3) Just a reminder about birthday celebrations: you are always welcome to bring a cake or cupcakes to school, for your child’s class to have during the lunch hour on their birthday. We don’t have a class party at the school, because it isn’t fair to every student who doesn’t have the same opportunity. If you want to have a party outside of school, and you would like to hand out invitations, please review school policy in the handbook. If you are going to invite students to an off campus party, you can either invite all of the boys in the class or all or the girls in the class, or the whole class, but no one can be left out.
4) School Pinic is scheduled for Saturday, October 1st at 6PM here at the school. It may be a hot evening (hopefully not), everyone (students and adults) needs to adhere to the dress code: no short shorts or skirts (or dresses), no tank tops, no spaghetti straps (or strapless), etc.
5) Also, before we begin to have casual dress days at school, we need to all be on the same page. The school dress code must be followed, or the privilege will be revoked. We don’t allow flip flops, short shorts, tank tops, spaghetti straps, short skirts with leggings, warm-up suits, no skinny jeans, (nothing too tight), no lounge wear, etc. Students must still dress nicely, even if it is a casual dress day. We will also review the dress code to all of the students.
