Science Review
Clouds, Water Cycle, Warm vs. Cold Air

Make sure that you know how to identify a cloud using the “Cloud Finder.”

I will use the description that is on the Cloud Finder to ask the name of the cloud that is being described.  Here is a link to find the Cloud Finder!!!!!

http://teacher.scholastic.com/lessonrepro/reproducibles/profbooks/cloudkey.pdf

1.      What air holds more moisture? Warm air or cold air? Warm air holds more moisture!

2.      What happens when the warm air mixes with the cool air? When warm air mixes with cool air they make a cloud!

3.      If the warm air mixes with cool air close to the ground, what do we see? If they mix close to the ground we see fog!

4.      If the warm air mixes with cool air in the sky, what do we see? If they mix in the sky we see clouds!

5.      What are some of the things that make up a cloud? Warm air, cool air, droplets, and pollution!

6.     Why does it rain? It rains because the droplets that are in a cloud connect and make “heavy” drops!

The Water Cycle: Make sure that you know the water cycle!

1.      Precipitation means that it is raining.

  1. Evaporation means that the water turned into gas. This gas is called Water Vapor!

Where would you find the warmest air?  Where would you find the coolest air?

Above the clouds I would find the ____________air.
