Dear Class,
Keep up the good work.  The first quarter, which was a review of Algebra 2, went very well for all, so I now look forward to plunging into the foundations for the discipline of Calculus.  Please remember from now on to read through every lesson and to work the problems out on your own.  This will challenge both you and me to even greater levels of preparation and drilling so that the concepts are fully apprehended and thoroughly synthesized.  Please do 29 for Tuesday, 30 for Wednesday, 31 for Thursday, 32 for Friday, on which day we will have our next test.

Thanks,

Mr. Lewis

Dear Class,
You can expect me at any moment to hand you guys pop quizzes like I did in class today.  I’m only doing it to make sure you are all synthesizing the concepts covered.  Please turn in Lesson 8 on Tuesday, Lesson 9 on Wednesday, Lesson 10 on Thursday, and Lesson 11 on Friday.  And expect more quizzes.  I would like to have a short compass quiz; it will be an ace in the hole if you know how to use the compass…
