What’s coming in the week ahead:

Spelling: We will be working on mastering the words and phonics rule for list 28.  A test will be given Friday.

Vocabulary: We have a new set of words, Lesson 13, to learn.  I will introduce 5 words a day for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  Each night students should review their words.  We will also begin working on lesson 13 workbook pages.

History: In history we are finishing up chapter 23.  We have finished our outline for the chapter, but we will continue to work on a written assignment about the 3 branches of Government.  The final draft of this paragraph will be due on Wednesday.  Chapter 23 test will be given on Wednesday as well.  We will then begin reading and outlining chapter 24 on Wednesday.

Science: We are continuing to learn about the different types of rocks, the rock cycle, and minerals and gemstones.  We will cover the remainder of section 3.6 and then on to 3.7.  There will be a quiz on Thursday about the different types of rocks.

Reading: We have begun reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. We will read and discuss chapters 1-10 this week.

Wednesday: Spelling: Review words 11-20; Vocabulary: Lesson 13: review words 10-15; Math: pg. 546: 99: 13-120 and 100:13-20 and pg. 547: 106 1-6; Reading: LWW: Read chapter 5 and review questions; Science: read pages 204-207; History: correct test; Writing: finish paragraph 1

Thursday: Spelling: Lesson 28 test tomorrow; Math: PS 107; Reading: LWW read chapter 7 and 8, use questions to help you follow the story; History: Find out who the Vice President is
