Week at a Glance (This includes Monday and Tuesday of next week as well.)
History: Read, discuss, and do activities regarding chapter 24 and 25. Chapter 24 is about Captain Cook’s discovery of Australia, and chapter 25 is about the beginnings of the French Revolution
Science: In science we are continuing our study of the earth. We will read about metals, fossil fuels, and begin looking at caves. This will cover sections 3.8 and 3.9
Reading: We will finish reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe before Easter break, and will hopefully begin a book report on it as well.
Writing: We are continuing to write paragraphs, but we are also currently working on a 5 paragraph essay on the Unites States Constitution and the general outline of the AMerican government. The students will be able to use the computer lab to type the final drafts of this essay.
Grammar: In grammar we will finish up our study of adverbs, and do a thorough review of all the parts of speech we have learned thus far this year. To aid in that, we are also diagramming sentences.
