In the last three academic school years (2004-2007), the students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade took the Stanford Achievement Test. We are proud to announce that EACH grade level scored 2 or more grade levels above the norm!
Growing in Mind, Body, and Soul
Our lower school program is centered around the “three R’s”: Reading , Writing, Arithmetic. This includes a phonics based program for Reading, a concentration in grammar and diagramming the parts of speech, and an introduction to logic and analogies for enhanced thinking skills. Emphasis will also be placed on the development of analytical abilities in Mathematics and in the scientific method. Students will be required to develop facility with one foreign language (Spanish / Latin). The faith will permeate and provide cohesive unity in all subjects with an added course in Apologetics.
Preparing students for college.
Every high school graduate completes 4 years of every subject: Mathematics, History, Science, English, Language, and Theology, 1/2 credit of Speech and Communications with 2 years credit given in the Fine Arts: Art, Music, or Drama and two years of Physical Education. All high school students will be required to do a research paper each year in their English course with the Seniors required to give an oral defense of their paper. PSAT/SAT prep classes will also be given throughout their Sophomore and Junior year.
