Week at a Glance:
Grammar: We are reviewing everything we have learned so far this year, learning to diagram linking verbs, and will continue to talk about meter in poetry.
Reading: We have finished reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and so this week we will discuss the book and begin writing a report on it.
Writing: We will be finishing our history essay this week, as well as reading about and starting some new types of paragraphs.
Science: I have a few science experiments planned for this week and out field trip on Thursday is to the Dallas Science Center.
History: In history, we have listed to chapter 25 on the French Revolution. We will be outling additional information for the chapter on Wednesday and reading a handout on Robespierre. By the end of the week we will have begun chapter 26 on Catherine the Great.
Spelling: In spelling we are moving onto lesson 31 and there will be a test Friday. Vocabulary: We will begin lesson 14 this week and will begin reviewing our words by doingon the workbook exercises.
Don’t forget the field trip on Thursday. Students must pack a sack lunch!
Monday: History: read handout; Writing: Writing Skills bk. pg 100 – use science book 3.4; Math: PS 115; Vocabulary: finish 13e
