Religion Study Guide (Ch. 11)

Jesus was born in a city called Bethlehem.

Jesus was placed in a manger that was filled with straw.

The first people to learn about the newborn Savior were the shepherds.

God did not wish to share His life with the rich first, but with the poor.

An angel came to the shepherds to tell about the birth of Jesus.

Three wise men followed a bright star across the sky.

The wise men brought gifts of gold, frankencense and myrrh to Jesus.

A wicked man named Herod ruled over the land where Jesus was born.

God warned Joseph to take Jesus and Mary away from Bethlehem.

Advent Angels

Advent Angels

Each child will draw the name of another child to be kind to during the remainder of Advent.  Your child can be kind to another child by helping to clean a desk, or maybe giving that child his or her turn to do something at recess.  We will reveal Advent Angels on the 19th to the entire class.  NO GIFTS ARE REQUIRED!  Although, it would be great if your child could make a card for the student he or she has drawn.  I will post who has drawn who later on this week so you can suggest “random acts of kindness” to your child.  Thank you!
