History Chapter 4 Review
Burros were the animals used by the Polos to cross the mountains. A burro is a small donkey.
Marble is what the Great Khan’s Palace was made of.
Coal is what Marco Polo saw the Chinese using for heat.
Marco Polo’s father was a merchant.
Marco, his father, and his uncle went to go visit the Great Khan who ruled over China.
The trip to the Far East was so difficult that it took them four years to get there!
After 20 years in the Far East the Polos decided to return home to Venice.
The people back home were amazed to see the Polos return with costly jewels.
After he returned to Venice, Marco Polo was captured during a war between Venice and Genoa. During this time he wrote a book that people did not read until the invention of the printing press.
Many people thought that the goods from the Far East would be cheaper in Europe if they found a way to China by water.

Religion Ch 6 Review
At Baptism we become members of God’s family. God washes away our Original Sin.
When the Original Sin is washed away, our soul is filled with grace.
When our soul is filled with grace, it makes us children of God.
When we are made children of God, we can go to Heaven. The children will need to write a little bit about the saint they are going to be on the Quiz- at least three sentences. This will also help them to write the paragraph for their Saint Report. Any Saint information that they have they should bring in this week so they can work on the report in class. Thank you!
