It looks to be a fun and busy week ahead. We have many things going on which will affect our work. On Wednesday we have the all school All Saints Day Party in the afternoon and our Saint Project presentations. (Remember that the written project is due on Tuesday!) I would like to have the students in their costumes before they do their presentations. This would mean that we would change immediately following lunch. If any parents would like to come in and help move this along faster, I would appreciate the help. Also parents if you would like to join us for the presentations we would love to have you. I hope to start them by 12:45.
As everyone knows we do not have school on Thursday. Enjoy your day of rest at home, but please remember to study for your Spelling test!
On Friday we are going to the Dallas Heritage Park. Here is a link http://www.oldcitypark.org/Default.aspx about where we are going. This Friday is first Friday and we will be attending Mass before leaving for our field trip. All students must come in their uniforms. We will take our spelling test as soon as we return from the trip. We will not take the vocabulary test on Friday, instead we will take it first thing on Monday.
I think that is all the important information for the week. Please check back though just in case!

All Saints Day Report and Presentation
Dear Parents,
As you know, All Saints Day is just around the corner and to celebrate, the children will be dressing up as Saints! In addition to dressing up, I would like the students to write a mini “report” for the special day. It needs to be handwritten, and at least two paragraphs long. They also need to submit a colored picture that they have drawn of the Saint.
On All Saints Day, the children will get up in front of the class to tell the rest of the class about their Saint. The students will have to speak for about one minute, and the students will be in costume! Thank you for all of your cooperation! I’m looking forward to learning about many great Saints from the students! J God Bless You,
Ms. Padilla
Saint Report Guidelines
Make sure to include these in your report! *The name of your Saint. *Where the Saint lived. *Was your Saint a priest/nun/husband/or wife? *Were there any special things that your Saint did? *Why you chose the Saint, and what you like about your Saint. *Your report must be handwritten in your BEST printing! Make sure to take your time to spell all your words correctly. *You will have three pieces of paper in this report: *Your cover page. It will have the title of your report and your name. *Your report. *A picture that you drew and colored of your Saint.
Good luck!
