September 1, 2008 | Print This Homework Post
NOTE: Homework assigned for a given day is to be prepared for the following day. For instance, the assignment for 9/2/08 must be turned in at the beginning of class on 9/3/08.
When you are reading assigned readings in the biology textbook, try to answer all “On Your Own” questions that you come across. You can check your answers at the end of the module. Also, after doing each day’s reading, turn to the summary for the current module (found in Appendix B) and copy out, on separate paper, the lines that were covered in that reading. Fill in the blanks using the answers found in your reading. The module summary is thus an ongoing process that will be checked daily as part of the homework.
Tuesday: Read pp. 6-11, through On Your Own 1.5. Begin copying out the summary for module 1, as far as you can go based on the reading.
Wednesday: Read pp. 12-18, through On Your Own 1.7.
Thursday: Read pp. 18-26.
Friday: Read pp. 27-30, up the the heading “The Microscope.”
